If you haven’t checked out Wayde’s World News lately, you should. Not only does it have a slick new look, but today’s article is pretty damn funny.
My posts are few and far between now. I don’t know why, really, I want to post but I have nothing interesting to say. Nothing non-baby related anyway. 😉
I miss hockey — it gave me something other than work to talk about. Work has been stressful lately, so I don’t want to think about that right now.
Oh, I dreamt about hockey players recently. Night before last, actually. Darcy Tucker, Shayne Corson, and Patrick Roy were all in my dream. It was strange, I tell ya. I could see their faces as clear as day in my dream, and of course they were wearing their Leaf jerseys. For some reason I was living in military housing (with Wayde) and had to share a house with Patrick Roy. I was disgusted at first (I don’t like him!) but then the idea of getting daily tips from a pro appealed to me. I’m not sure what role Shayne and Darcy played in my dream, but I remember talking to Darcy. Then, someone came to my door and was asking about joining a hockey league, but he (not sure who he was) recognized me as being “that high-level goalie” and thought that he couldn’t join the league because he’s not good.
Wow, I had no idea I thought of myself that way. 🙂
Friday Five, because I can. And because I need content. And because I’m lazy.
1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
I really liked Spiderman and The Hulk. And Batman and Wonder Woman. I can’t pick just one!! Spiderman because he’s funny, Hulk because he turns green and scary (but he’s nice), Batman because he had cool gadgets, and Wonder Woman because I had WW Underoos.
2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
A skateboard. A really good one. I think my mom didn’t want me to break any bones — I was already tomboyish enough, I didn’t need a skateboard to help me out!
3. What’s the furthest from home you’ve been?
Depends on where home is… I’ve moved around so much I don’t have one particular place I can call home, home is where I live at the time. I lived in both Hawaii and England, those are the farthest away from the US I’ve lived.
4. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t yet?
Some type of martial art. I took some Hapkido classes while I lived in England, and I almost enrolled in some Tae Kwon Do classes before I moved to Canada but didn’t because I was moving soon, I took some kickboxing classes too, but that’s it. Wayde and I want to learn Kung Fu at a local school here…hopefully after the baby is born and I’ve recovered.
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Playing D&D tonight (shh!) with some friends, going shopping for baby stuff tomorrow, and not much else. Oh, I plan on taping Amelie tonight so I can watch it on Sunday — I tried watching it last weekend but my movie-watching partner fell asleep, and it was no fun after that.
