I’ve spent bits of time here and there over the last week trying to get PHP and pMachine working on our Win2K3 webserver. Until this morning, I didn’t have a whole lot of time, and certainly not enough time to actually take a good look at it. I had one major hiccup, and that was getting phpMyAdmin working properly so that I could (easily) add and import a database. Once I got that working, finally, the rest was cake!
So, now it’s working! I’ve got Wayde’s site up and running on our server. YIPPEE! You don’t even know how excited I am.
Now I have lots and lots I can do. It’s a lot easier to find cool web stuff to do in PHP than ASP. Like, um, pMachine! I haven’t found any blogging software in ASP that matches or even comes close to measuring up. So, depending on how things work, I might just move GoalieGirl.com over from my current host. I just renewed so I might wait on that, but I have a few domains that I’ve been itching to do something with and now I can. Yay! I’m only limited by space and knowledge — all of which can be easily upgraded. Er, and bandwidth, but I don’t see that being an issue.
Now, I need to kick myself in the arse and get my hockey skins finished. LOL.
Oh yeah, and Goaliegirl.com now has RSS.
I set it up this morning too, as well as installing RssReader (free) and adding all the blogs on my reads list that have RSS capabilities. It’s way cool.
